We plant a tree in the UK

How Trainhugger works

To plant millions of healthy, resilient trees in the UK and support sustainable travel and tourism.

In partnership with the Royal Forestry Society and the Royal Scottish Forestry Society, we’re creating a network of diverse, climate resilient woodlands across the country. These trees will protect wildlife, clean the air and support a local, sustainable timber industry that provides green jobs and valuable skills.

Plant 10 million trees in the UK by 2025

Make UK rail 100% carbon neutral

Double UK woodland cover from 13% to 26%

50p from every booking goes into a unique tree planting grant we’ve set up with the Royal Forestry Society (RFS)  and the Royal Scottish Forestry Society and helps grow healthy, resilient woodlands in the UK.

Our exclusive partnership with the woodland experts at the Royal Forestry Society and their 3500+ members means we plant the right tree in the right place for the right reason.

We’re planting our first trees with the RFS in Hockeridge and Pancake Woods, about an hour’s train ride from London.

We plant trees in the UK, but we also make sure to practise sustainability within our own company.

As part of the B Corps UK community, we commit to putting the planet’s health and people’s wellbeing at the core of our business.

Trainhugger is excited to be recognised as a “Pending B Corp” in our first year of operation. We look forward to joining Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s and over 3000 other B corp businesses around the world in championing sustainability and climate action.
